Our Story
After Mark completed a full career in the British Army, he and his wife, Dawn, decided it was time for a new adventure and relocated to the beautiful countryside of West Devon. Sharing a passion for animals, good food and drink, and rural living, they created their own smallholding amongst the rolling hills, building a lifestyle centred around the countryside they love.
From the very beginning, their flock of Gotland sheep became the heart of the smallholding. Originally from the Swedish island of Gotland, these distinctive sheep are renowned for their beautiful fleece, gentle temperament and inquisitive nature. They quickly became much more than livestock—they became the inspiration behind everything they do.
After long days working on the farm, Mark and Dawn loved nothing more than relaxing with a perfectly crafted gin and tonic while overlooking their flock. It was during those moments that the idea for Gotland Gin was born.
Determined to create something truly unique while celebrating the Scandinavian heritage of their sheep, they explored the flavours of the Nordic region, experimenting with fruits such as lingonberries alongside a carefully selected blend of premium botanicals. After months of refining recipes and perfecting every detail, Gotland Gin was born—a handcrafted premium gin that is exceptionally smooth, refreshingly distinctive and proudly distilled in the heart of Devon.
Today, Mark and Dawn welcome visitors to Gotland Gin HQ, where guests can enjoy gin tastings, distillery experiences, cream G & Teas and delicious light lunches. Relax in the countryside bar, take in the stunning views across West Devon and, of course, meet the beautiful Gotland sheep that inspired their unique spirits.
Whether you're a gin enthusiast or simply looking for a peaceful place to unwind, you'll receive a warm Devon welcome. Alongside our handcrafted gins, our bar serves a carefully selected range of local ales, ciders, lagers, fine wines, artisan soft drinks and other premium spirits, ensuring there's something for everyone to enjoy.

The Gotland Gin Annual Farm Supper 2026 beckons connoisseurs and enthusiasts alike for a night of culinary expertise. Our seven course tasting menu highlights the finest local seasonal ingredients prepared by our renowned guest chef, Joe Dibley.

Come and join us for our very popular Christmas Fair. With lots of quality local traders, we will have something for everyone including the dog. North Devon Hog Roast will be returning again to serve up their amazing hog and our bar will be open serving Mulled Gin. Barzotelli's will be with us again serving up their amazing hot chocolates and coffee alongside their award winning gelato. Parking is limited - we ask that you are considerate when parking on the roadside if our car park is full.
Come and join us for an evening of entertainment with the amazing Mitzi Irish. Arrive hungry as we have the very popular Exe Valley Pizza and Farmer Tom’s Ice Cream available. Advance orders for pizza is highly recommended - call Exe Valley Pizza on 07402147335. The menu can be found on their website or on our events page on Facebook. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times. Additional parking is available in our fields.

All of our items are posted with Royal Mail 48 Tracked. An email and/or text will be sent to you in order to track your delivery once it has been dispatched. Please allow 3-5 days for delivery especially during busy periods and where orders are made over Bank Holiday weekends.
All orders will be dispatched on the next working day after the order is placed.
Deliveries to some areas of Scotland, offshore UK, BFPO and Northern
Ireland may take longer.

We are a working smallholding and are not always open to the public.
If you would like to make a collection from Gotland Gin HQ, please contact us in order to arrange a suitable time to collect your purchased items.
Packaging
We are proud to announce that all of our packaging is plastic free and 100% recyclable. We use the flexi hex packaging system, kraft paper tape, protective paper wrapping and wood wool allowing you to put the packaging straight into your recycling bin or better still re-use the packaging in other ways.
